How to add Adsense or any other ad code in between wordpress post.

It’s a simple 8 Step Process. Let’s start.

1. Log into your WordPress admin panel or if you edit in dreamweaver skip to step 3.

2. Select Presentation -> Theme Editor from the navigation menu

3. From the Theme Editor, find and select the “Main index template” (index.php) from the list to the right

4. Find the following line

5. Above it add the following line

6. Now find the following line

7. Add the following code directly below it (replace AdSense Code with your code)

8. Click update file, Now, view your site to confirm that the ad has been added to the first post listing.Note: To change which post your ad is placed under, simply change the count number.

Example: $count == 3 will place the ad under post the 3rd post

One of the main issues with Wordpress is it’s lack of some CMS capabilities.

There are times when you need different sidebars for different pages or posts.

This is a simple Wordpress hack to add that functionality.

Simply open single.php^* and find the call to the get_sidebar() function:

Swap it out with:

When you write a post now you just have to create a custom field and add the name of the sidebar.
Example: aboutus and it will include aboutus.php

Just follow the 5 steps.

1. In the admin panel. Create a new account. That’s the one the visitor will use.

2. Go Under the Settings tab and uncheck “Anyone can register.

3. You can go under Appearance Tab – Theme Functions (functions.php) and add the code below somewhere (if it is at the top of the page, it should be after the <?php and not in between a /* and */) ***Replace the fancy quotes with the right ones

5.  In Settings -> Privacy, select “I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors” for Blog Visibility.

That’s it your done. now only people with the password can see the website

Wordpress post are usually order chronologically.

But sometimes you need the ordered another way

If your using wordress and you would like to show the child titles along with the parent page then this is for you. If you are using wordpress for a corporate website (wordpress as a CMS) sometimes you want the have a sidebar that list the other pages in that category. If children, parent title, if not, No title! If it’s your main title is email marketing you might have a list of sub pages such as

etc

You only want the list of sub pages to show up under the parent page email marketing or under the sub pages of that same group. Add the following code to your sidebar. Great thing about the code is if your parent page does not have any children it won’t show anything. Also when the end user or client is update the website if they add a page or change a title then it will automatically show up.
